E-Readers

I like to think I stay pretty current with evolving technology and usually assimilate the latest gadgets into my everyday life. Satellite radio, navigation systems, ipods, laptops, and cell phones are all dear friends of mine. I have three email addresses, a facebook profile, and occassionally, I twitter. I am an avid reader so one might think that the new e-readers would be right up my alley. Kindle and kindle inspired e-readers allow their users to store thousands of books digitally and download books in less than a minute. These e-readers are lighter than a book and come complete with batteries that are said to last up to a week! So why can't I hop on the e-reader bandwagon? Because nothing can replace the crack of the book spine when you first open a new book, the smell of fresh book pages, and the feeling of accomplishment I get while reading when the left side of the book becomes thicker than the right side of the book. When it comes to reading, I suppose I'm just old fashioned and I like it that way ♥
